KLCEI recruits talented teachers and heads of faculty to staff its school. We seek teachers who hold a bachelor’s degree or higher, or have equivalent work experience in education, art, or music. Selections are based on academic performance, extra-curricular activities, recommendations, and an interview with the KLCEI Principal. Selections will be made by the Principal of the school in consultation with the KLCEI Board of Directors. Selection of the Principal is made by the board of directors.

Positions Available

  • Hiring a part-time Director of Development

    The Korean Language Cultural Education Institute (KLCEI), a 501c- 3 nonprofit educational institute, is hiring a part-time Director of Development.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Fundraising: Formulating and executing of fundraising campaigns.
    2. Public Relations: Being part of the public relations team and engaging with the public and making contacts in the community.
    3. Marketing: Raising additional funds and establishing new contacts & donors within the community.
    4. Writing for grants: Research and proposal writing for grants.

    Qualifications:

    -A bachelor’s or higher degrees in business, nonprofit administration, or public administration.
    -Over 3 years of fundraising experiences
    -Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal, organizational and marketing skills.
    -Knowledge of contract management and fundraising software.
    -Ability to raise funds, write grant proposals and plan events.
    -Korean-speaking ability is a plus, but not required.
    -Legally authorized to work in the United States.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

    This is a part-time and hourly position. The director of development may work from home. But (s)he must be available for fundraising events, some Saturdays during the school hours (9:00 AM-Noon) and attend board meetings(four times per year). The Director of the Development will report to the board.
    The compensation will be based on education and experience.
